Course members will be taught breathing exercises, relaxation techniques and simple tolerance exercises, and most sessions will feature guest speakers on various topics related to the manage- ment of respiratory dis- ease. All exercise proce- dures will be under the direction of qualified lung association staff. This is a basic program, which aims to provide respiratory patients with-an introduction to self-help techniques which, when applied, can improve the quality of day-to-day living.
