Thnne last minute rush This was the scene last Friday afternoon as those who had yet to buy their 1982 license plate renewal stickers got in lino at the Department of Transportation and Communications office located in Donald Travel i downtown Whitby. It seems that al of these people left the annual ritual a little too late (including the Free Press photographer taking this picture) and therefore, had to wait for as long as 30 minutes before they could buy their little red stickers. AccQrcing to one employee the Whitby office baîs issued over 21,000 stickers to date this year and on their busiest day issued just over 1,700. Oh, by the way, if yoù haven't bought yours, the deadline has expired and if you drive your car, expect t7o get a ticket. -Free Press Staff Photo $1 79,425 price tqg....
