Ambulance catis During the week that ended. at midnighit last Thursday, -the Whitby Ambulance Service responded to 79 calîs for service. According to co-owner Bill Cocker, the service responded to 32 routine cails and to 24 standby cails for other ambulan- ce services in Oshawa and Ajax. The service also responded to 23 emergency calîs, in- cluding one motor vehicle accident. Volunteer drivers of the society are paid gas money from campaign fund, drugs and dressings are provided for needy cancer patien- ts from the same sour- ce, and salaries and of- fice supplies are pur- chased with April monies.- .
