The Lakeshore "A" Minor Peewee Hockey Team comprised of players from the regu- lar season Al-Star Teams from Ajax, Markham, Pickering, Port Perry, Whitby and Bowmanville have started their "4regular"p summer muaon in exhi- bition play tdreu weeks ago. They play their home games at Art Thompson arena on Sundays at 5:30 p.M. SOn this summer's team are: Scott FeasY (Port Perry), Richard Vincent (Pickering),, Mark Hamilton, Craig Fisher and Ian Lorimer (Ajax) , Gregg Pierce, Robbie Miwa, Troy Bmn- nie (Markham), Derrin Bunker (Bowmanville), and Scott Luik, Jaan Luik, John Windover, Kevin Mitchell, Troy McKay, Mike Reier, Justin Moore, Tom Gossely and Trevor Anyon (Whitby). Coach- ing the club is Larry Windover and Bruce Reler, with Ando Luik as manager. In recent competition, the Minor Peeweks received, a draw with the Toronto M.T.H.L. Maries at 4 to 4. On Saturday, May 22, they defeated Eastern On- tario's best in a shootout at 10oto 9. Goal getters were Justin Moore with 4, Troy Binnie had 3, Troy McKay, Richard Vincent and Gregg Pierce wth singles. They were back at it on the Sunday, dominat- ing the M.T.H.L. Toron- to Red Wings at Art Thompson Arena 6 to 1. Goals were scored for the home side by Jaan Luik with 2, Craig Fisher with 2, and Troy Binnie and Troy McKay notched singles. Robbie Miwa and Mike Reier collected two assists each. The Lakshore Minor Peewee's wil be mak- ing their presence known at three tourna- ments this summer in Ottawa, Peterborough and Cobourg. i The Whitby Senior Public School track and field team took home eight first place ribbons at the Durham Regional £frack and Field Champ- ionships that were held June 3. The 55 athletes parti- cipating in the competi- tion also won nine second place ribbons, 13 third place finishes and a large nuniber of four- th, fifth and sixth place ribbons. Many of the young- sters set personal best records in their events.
