In Barrie, Whitby won their division, but could not win the fourth game to advance to the finals. They were downed by Kingsway 5 to 4, the eventual. tournament winners. In Hamilton, Whitby beat High Park 10 to 2. Doug McCorkell was leader here, batting 1,000 while performing excell enitly -at defense. The hot drives just couldn't penetrate through this position.
