According to a spokes- man for the Durham Regional Police Force, the security 'guards stoppedl a person outside of the Dundas Street East store early< last 'Thursday afternoon. Police also said that when the female suspect was arrested she falsely identified herseif. Police and 'store security also recovered assorted children's toys and clothing valued at about $119. Some of the items are believed to have been stolen from the Consumer's Distri- buting and K-Mart out- lets on Dundas Street East. Margaret Marie Bar- nes, 30, of Reynolds Street, Whitby bas been charged with assault with intent to resist arrest; theft under $200; two counts of possession Of' stolen goods under $200; and, ,,obstructing police.
