"The idea is to help people overcome their fears about computers and to deal with them positively," Dyer says. "Computers aren't good or bad, it's what you do with tliem." Dyer's sessions. He and Chris Greaves, a St. Thomas parishioner and co- ordinator of the Durham Region Personal Com- puter Club, believe com- puters can be used to unite familles and to assist thernint planning budgets, maintaining correspondence and in educational pursuits. "We believe the chur- ch can benefit greatly fromn the uses of comi- puters if they are used with caution," Dyer says. He adds that there has been no resistance on the part of lis parishion- ers to the use of com- puters in the church and the sharing of computer knowledge. Warm winter could mean There's more to a green winter than dis- appointed skiers and dellghted motorists.
