Although the spree, soordby the Lions Club of Whitby, allowed him- two minutes to stash away an upper limit of $5M0i food pro- ducta, Borchuk nee only half a minute at the meat counter to wrap it all up. Borchuk won the sprée after bis naMe was drawn by Mayor Bob Attersley last week. The Lion's Club will donate proceeds from the draw to help blind persons in the cômmu- nity. Spokesmen for the club say about $2,000 was rased i the draw. The Llon's Club'la iii- volved in a Ieader-dog training achool, and helps provide equip- ment for the blind. The club alsio sponsors people to attend a sum- mer camp for the blind at Lake Joseph in the MuskOka region. Borchuk, who was slightly winded after the two-minute sprint, says the meat will be well- preserved in bis large freezer. He, lives in Wbitby and works at General Motors in Oshawa. MI
