Guests and members enjoyed the feilowship of al who attended as it was a most stimulating and in- teresting evening. President, Lee Hewitt, re-affirmed to the assem- bly that people who look good, feel good. She war- mly welcomed and introduced our guest Betty Cinurak- Invocation was then given by Helen Hfines. Foilowing in the main topic "Through the Looking Glass", everyone who participated in the evening's program stayed on subject and expressed genuine enthusiasm. Our Lexicologist, Dorothy Hart, kept us enter- tained while educating us in proper word temino- logy. Our Topicmistress, Jeannette Etter, again keeping with the theme requested impromptu speeches from ten participants and these were al informative and most exhilarating. The trophy for the one minute. improvisation was awarded to Lee Irwin. Grammarian, Dorothy Hart, exhibited the word "cachet" and gave 'us its definition and ap- plication. Foilowing recess, the program résuned under the direction of Myrna Picotte, Toastinistress. Speakers were Nancy Spencer, Barbara. Blair and Pauline Torresan. Barbara was elected best speak- er for the evening. Lee Irwin, Althea Darwin and Germaine Barr were evaluators and Lee was voted best evaluator. A most comprehensive evaluation was given by Betty Dubowski, the general evaluator for the evening. In conclusion, Germaine Barr gave the closing thought. We ail left the meeting having gained more know- ledge in fashion, parliament.ary procedure, protocol, effective speaking and good fellowship.
