Coundil's operations committee was told j Tuesday- night that $7,199 has been spent on a new «fibre siding to the building. In May, Council'ap- proved renovations to' underground piping totalling $14,935. The total coet of the renovations has ex- ceeded the 1983 <budgeted amount of $21,200. Mayor Bob Attersley said at the meeting that $125,OOO has been spent on the pool in the last twoyears. "For that kind of money, we could likely have put a new pool in, enclosed'it and used it year-round," he said. "Are we going tospd aniy more." Parlks and Recreation director Wayne Deveau assured Attersley that the pool renovations were complete for now and remmnded the Mayor that the recreation department did recommend two years ago that the pool becelosed. Deveau said the cost of a new pool was looked into. at the same time and it was found to be $250,OOO. "~ -. I -.
