Two Durham students were honoured for highest schoiastic achievement in the College. Sandra Walls, of Whitby, a Legal Administration student, received the Al Divisional Award for any Year I program, and Michael Morrison, of Oshawa, a Chemical Engineering Technology student, received the All Divisional Award for any Year II program. On Nov. 4, the Business and Health Science awards were presented, and on Nov. 11, Scholarships were presented to students in the Applied Arts and Technology Divisions. Of course, activity at Denis O'Connor never comes to a complete standstill. Sports action this past week has found our ladies' basketball team coming out on top again. Last Tuesday, our midget ladies' basketball team com- pleted their regular season play with a win over McLaughlin by a score of 24-14. This brought their record to six wins and two losses. The ladies will advance to the playoffs at Dunbarton. Scoring for DO'C was done by the following: Cindy Jimmo, il points; Josie Peschesolido, 5 points; Kathy Creighton, 4 points; Teresa Meulensteen and Ann McLaughlin, 2 points each. Congratulations ladies - we'il be cheering for you all the way! The boys' basketball team had their final cut last Thursday. Good luck to the coaches and their team, this season could be the best one yet! Put on your dancing shoes and get ready to dance the night away at DO'C's annual Christmas Formal on Dec. 14.
