Bar-Dayan returns.-to open new. furniture store For Best Choice Fur- miture and Appliance president, Emanuel' Bar-Dayan, the grand opening of the new Whitby warehouse store on April 26 is more like a homecomig. Bar-Dayan opened and managed the Bad Boy Appliance store that was in the exact, same location 8 years before. Now he is retur- ning as owner of his own furniture company and1 Plans to carry on the tradition of good prices and good value that he helped establlsh for Whitby shoppers. "I really. enjoyed working here i Whitbyt and to tell you the truth It missed it whený I was-i transferred", said Bar-f Dayan. "Now, you can't1 turn back the d eock butk when the opportunltyt arose for me to establish i my own furniture and i appliance store i Whit- p by, it was like a dream corne true. It was Iight and' fluffy and filled with melted ched- dar cheese. The accom- panying french fries were crisp, throughly cooked and not greasy. For dessert I tried chef Jim Papas' original apple crisp. If you're on a diet, don't eat this. It was magnificent and rii.h. The Coach HoLise has a solid lunch menu and offers the standard mig- day fare: fish and chips ($3.50); steak sandwich ($5.95); southern fried chicken ($4.25); and, a diet special. They also have daily luncheon specials. Dinner at the Coach House looks fanitastic and judging from their efforts at luinch, the main meal'must excite any diner. The menu~, of course, lists a complete selection of steaks, spareribs, filet mignon, shrimp, ham and ramn- bow trout. However, the items that interested me the most was. their Surf and Turf ($17.95) and Rock Lobster Tails ($19.95). While their wine list is not an excitîng one, it is a good one and should please every taste.
