However, here in Whltby there is a neat littie place on Dundas St. W. that is ideal for lunch, a late night snack or to give Mam a break from eoaking at an inexpensive price. The fish and chips at Mr. Fish and Mr. Muffin is just out of this worid. Fish loyers, and haing British I arn one, have their choice of halibut, cod, sole or haddock al dipped in a batter that is not overiy spiced or overly duil. It is fried ta a crisp but without drying aut.the beautiful white flesh. The hall was decorated for the festive occassion with bailoons, streamers and bouquets of flowers Spalnted by Lynn's grade 4 class at Glenn St. Sehool. Thl7 piece orchestra was superb,, and the dise jockey, Frank Truil and Gary Tummonds played the best music for dancing. Speclal guesta were the past presidents of the association, John Buchanan and Marion and Ron McEachern, Tony Jones and his group from the Whitby Tigers Running Club and Dolly Goddard and her group (formerly from the Whitby Heart Foun- dation). We sincerely thank them for attending the loth Anniversary Bail. Also present were many Corridor residents and Ptheir friends, M.P. Scott Fenneil and bis wife Cecil, M.P.P. George Ashe and bis wife, Margo, Coun- cillors, Tom and June Edwards, Ross and Dianne Batten, Gerry- and_ Betty Emm, Joe and Nan Drumm, and JOe and Linda Bugeilie. Thanks for heiping us make the Anniversary dan- ce the greatest. Prizes were- generously donated, by. The rest of his lun- ch/dinner fare is fairly standard and inciudes such things as steak on a bun, veai cutiets and, of course, burgers. However, if none of these fancy your ap- petite, try his shish-ke- barb. The meat is ten- der, juicy, properly spieed and eooked ta perfection. Gavriiidis brings 16 years of fish and chip experience to Whitby having owned and operated simiiar suc- cessful operations at three Toronto locations - Brirnley and Lawrence, Kennedy and Ellesmere, and Victoria Park and Sheppard. He came ta Whitby ta get- out of the city which he says is now getting a littie too crowded for his iikeing. He hopes ta move his family ta Whitby sometime in the near future.
