Althougb losing 5-4, the Lawmen put on a fine show. The gaine was fast wlth lots of ac- tion. Both teams concen- trated more on the hockey gaine and'less on fighting and the resuit was good hockey,ý somethlng the Lawmen have shown very littie of i the past few games. They were quick on the draws and kept up checklng throughout the gaine. The relatively low score was indicative of the defense working in co-ordination with Tur- pin, providing more cover than they usually do. The offense, although lacking Jane Ojanne and Teppo Nuininnim, was for- tified with the addition of Pearson. Pearson, the recent aquisition of the Lawmen, worked like a horse ail night. In the first period the Lawmen demonstrated that the game was to be good when Jamie Bately scored in the first minute. In the second perlod, Dixie tied the gaine again at the 4 minute mark and went ahead at 4:48 with another goal. After a well planned offense Scott Rae tied the score a 3-3. The score remained the same until the third period when the Lawmen again went'in- to the lead with a goal by Alain Raymond le seconds into the perlod. Dixie, however, was qulckto tie again and eventually went on to win the gaine. The Lawmen's next gaine is not until Nov. 30 when they take, on league leader, Aurora.
