In representative team play: The Whitby minor bantam select team won the consolation round of the Clairles Hockey Tournament held in Scarborough ast week. On their way to the consolation round they bast to Cedar Hil 3-2 in sudden death overtime before defeatmng Clalrlea 7-3. They met the Agin- court Lions i the con- solation finals wlnning by a score of 3-2 in sud- den death overtime. Scorlng for Whitby in that game were Sbawn Beatty and Kevin Washer (2), who scored the wlning goals. In regular play, the Whltby minor bantamn select teamn earned a 1- ail tde with O.C.L. Westmlnister. Scoring for. Whitby was Bryce Cooper. However, they bast to West HiII 3-2. Scorlng were Cooper and Jason Hunt. The Eastway Chryser Plymouth peewees loet an impor- tant play-off game to Markham 4-3. Whitby goals by Drew Myers, Rob Martin and Shawn Keogan. The- Pat and Mario's minor peewees lost to Pickering 3-0 last week but turned around and downed the same team 5-1 a couple of days later. Scoring in that ef- fort were Mike Fulton, (3) and Jeff Poland (2). They aiso beat Ajax 4- 2 on goals by Graeme Burns, Fulton (2) and Darrin Lee. Tbey then downed the same team 2-0 on goals by Fulton and David Weir. -Wayne Primeau scored ail three goals in the novice Hdeaway's 3-ail tie with Georgetownl before they went on to beat Belleville 4-1 on goals by Primeau (2), Paul Mllon and Paul Brooks. They also downed the Oshawa Red Wings 7-3 on goals by Brooks (3), Prlieau (3) and Jim Brown. The Brooklil Sports bantam no. 2 team lost to.Stouffville 6-2 in play- off action. Scoring were Steve Wing and Rob Horan. However, they beat Pickering 3- on goals by Mike Wiliams, Jason Gurd and Jeremy Stella. They also tied Port Hope 1-ail. Getting the Whitby marker was Sean Whitehead. In house league play: BANTAM Roy'sEnerprise slid by Danrt Typewriter 5A4 on goals by Joe White Rose Nursery doubled the Smiling Drillers 4-2 on goals by Shawn Beatty (2), Mike Garton and David Stogols. Answering were Scott McKenzie and David Sharp. Dom's Auto Parts downed Brock Video 5-3 on goals by Kevin Washer (2), Kevin Mead, David Bondel and Jeffrey Bowman. Mike Thom (2) and Mike Neweil responded for Dom's. Brooklin Concrete doubled U.A.W. Local 222 6-3 on goals by Rod Christie, Patrick Muldoon, Bryce Cooper, Mike Belanger (2) and. Neil MacDougeil.
