(Jpening... The Whitby Minor Basebali Association officially opened its new field house at the Iroquois Park Complex a few days ago. The $21,00 project was the resuit of the combned efforts of the W.M.B.A., the Whitby Kiwanis Club and the Tawn of Whitby's parks and recreation departmnent. The town donated $5,000 towards its construction, the Kiwanis Club $6,000, the Whitby senior basebail team $1,000 with the W.M.B.A. picking Up the rest of the tab. The field house will be used for score keeping, for equipment storage, as a press box and as a change roomn for umpires.
