The 15-year aid grade 10 student is the first Wbitby resident in severai years to get ail the way ta the provincial finals of the Royal Canadian Legion's public speaking contest. The Anderson C.V.I. student won the branch, zone, district and region competitions before earning second place in the provincial competition earlier this month. His topic was "The Invasion of Things on the World". Visser says he reaily does enjoy public speaking. "It's a good experien- ce. Something yau really want ta get into.
