Brooklin gardeinlg Society At the last meeting of the Brooklin Hor- ticultural Society, con- ducted by president Bet- ty Van Buuren, mem- bers played "Fun with Floral' a crossword about gardening and Ken Brown showed sorne lovely slides of bulbs and their flowers. The slide presentation was followed by a question and answer period and Ken had lots of good advice. Doris Hoskins and Ruby Jones served a lovely lunch. Free Press Staff Photo Whitby Ambulance cails During the week en- ding Feb. 27,, Whitby Ambulance Service responded to a total of 104 caîls including four calîs for injuries resulting from violence and four calîs for motor vehicle accidents in which five patients were taken to hospital. The emergency calîs included 10 for heart related problems, four for stroke and one for a patient who suffered a seizure. The service received 39 calîs '0f a non- emergency nature in- volving patient tran- sport from one medical facility to another and 21 calis for standby to other area services. Six calîs during the week were cancelled while the ambulance was enroute. The number to caîl for ambulance service in Whlby is 723-5232.
