Police said Bruce Hutchings, 21, of 309 Burns St. W. was travelling south on Durham Rd. 23 in Brock Township when he collided with a dump truck driven by Warren Thompson, 40, of Park St. in Beaverton: Police say Mr. Hut- chings was on the wrong side of the road. when the collision took place. The "jaws of life" were used to remove Mr. Hutchings from his car who was then tran- sported to Uxbridge hospital. He was later flown by air ambulance to Sunnybrook hospital in Toronto. Mr. Thompson received a bump to his knee in the collision. Damage to the truck is estimated at $12,000 and Mr. Hutchings 74 Pon- tiac Firebird was destroyed. The accident is still under investigation. A break-in at Sarges Gulf Service Centre at 1009 Brock St. S. Mon- day morning has netted thieves a substantial amount of cash. Police report a bay door window was broken to gain entry and the cash was removed from an office drawer. Damage to the door is estimated at $25. The amount of money taken was not disclosed. Theft A car parked at the rear of the Durham Full Gospel Church on Mon- day wasbroken into and a cassette player and speakers were stolen. Police say the vehicle had been left unlocked.
