John Jordan is an ac- count executive with William D. Little, Marketing and Motivation Ltd. in Wbit- by. Jordan was also on the Canadian team in 1982. Four countries will be represented at the games, Canada, Emgland, Australia and the United States. . 'I thought with my experience I could make the team and 1 did," said Jordan who curren- tly plays mid-field for the Brooklin Redmen. A break in the Redmens scbedule will allow Jor- dan to play for the Canadian side. "lWe lost to Australia in 1982 so we would like to be able to get past them and play the States in the finals," said Jordan who predic- ted that the United. States team, which cap- turez! the gold mpdal in 1982 will be the favourite this year. The Canadian side won a bronze in 1982. Jordan, 26, made the teamn after 50 hopefuls attended a one day training camp at the University of Toronto three -weeks ago. He. estimnated one-third of this year's teamn is veterans from the 1982 team. Lacrosse has been an integral part of Jordan's life. In 1978,. when' he played for the then' junior team for Whitby, the Whitby, Builders, Jordan accepted a field 'lacrosse scholarship to North Carolina. He played with the North Carolina team fromn 1978 to 1980. Other lacrosse achievements for Jor- dan include the. MVP award in the Ontario Major League in 1985, being named to the ail- world team at mid-field during the Los Angeles World Games in 1984 and MVP and rookie of the year honours in the British Columbia Senior A League in 1981.
