Slunch ln the park or take a Ieisureîy strol Pickering ........... 4 Dog shot A Durham Regional Police Officer who was attacked and bitten by a German Shepherd while delivering a summons in Ajax, pulled his revolver and shot the dog. The dog then made it's way back into the house where it died. The owner of the dog was located and police determined the animal had had rabies shots but it will still be examined for rabies. Constable Phillip Ross was taken to Ajax- Pickering hospital where he was treated and released. Arson Police suspect arson is the cause of a lire in a vacant barn on Victoria St. E. just west of Thickson Rd. The Whit- by lire department was called to the lire on June 14 at 7:30 p.m. It is believed to have started in a pile of lumber.
