RYRIE Durham Co-ordinator Durham Regional Crime Stoppers is esking-for the public's assistance in solving a series of frauda which have occurred in Oshawa, Bowmanville and Newcastle over the past six months. In these Instances, the suspect issued as payment, worthless flTBC cheques using fic- ticious names. In two of the occurrences the name Randy MacDon- ney was used and in the third the name Mim Keys. It is suspected the same person is respon- sible. The articles obtained were a Cornet Wood- stove valued at over I550. a white Roper il h.p. snowblower valued at $1,5W0 and a used Boiens H16XL hydrauiic drive tractor vaiued at nearly $2,000. The suspect is described as a white maie in his 30's, 5'10"- 6'2", about 200 lbs. and short black hair. He was driving an older white pick Up truck and on one occasion he had a woman and young boy with him. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 to anyone providing in- formation which Ieads to an arrest in these cases.
