The Whitby Brass Band was judged best band while the majorette award went to the Woodview Royal Majorettes. The Whitby branch of the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce won in the best commercial float category. The entry by Whitby Jaycees was judged best service club float. Oshawa lawyer Stephanie Ball, a contender for the Progressive Conservative homination in the new Durham Centre provincial riding, was the judge for this year's parade.
