The tournaments will help both local teams as they prepare for Lake Ontario Secondary School Association (LOSSA) competition to be held at Anderson Feb. 25-26. The LOSSA finals at Anderson will also be for AA midget and senior girls teams and AAA teams. Durham-York Secon- dary School Association (DYSSA) competition will be held March 5 at Ajax. Whitby played three very exciting games of hockey, with a lot of hard skating and back checking and took only two penalties in the three games. The team, sponsored by Nash Aluminum, has played in four tournaments so far this year, making it to the finals in two of them and winning one. Their next tournament is in Detroit starting Jan. 30. Team members will have to put the playoffs out of their mind, at least for this weekend, as they are off to Quebec to play against the three best AAA teams in North America. Those teams are the Detroit Little Caesars from Michigan, North Bay and the Toronto 'Marlies of the Metro Toronto Hockey League. Primeau said the team is playing in Quebec simply because it is "good competition."
