Erica Rodrigues provided 'shutoUt goaltending in the first game and was steady for the remainder of the series. Meanwhile the novice team, sponsored' by MacMilan-Bathurst, got excellent offense to roll over the opposition. Stephanie NicholS scored seven goals in an 18-O win over Ottawa hi the first game. Andrea Babony scored four goals while Crystal An- nis and Jennifer Drummond had two each. Catie Challoner, Andrea Murray and Julie Rowland had the other goals in the easy win.f ý Babony scored four more goals in a 9-1 win over Metcalfe. Nichols and Murray each hat two goals, Annis one. Rowland and Annji scored two goals each Whitby got by Nepean 5- 2 in a much tighter con- test. Babony had the other goal. In the fourth and final game, Whitby downed Metcalfe,7-4. :' Rowland scored three goals to pace Whitby. Nichols scored hier loth and llth goals of the tou.rnament while Babony got hier loth. Annis had the other Whitby goal. Sunnycrest Home events The .month of December proved to be an entertaining one with several events and trips planned at Sunnycrest Nursing Home. On Dec. 2 a potluck supper was held by the staff and volunteers 1inviting the residents, a Most successful evening. Dec. 10, entertainment was provided by the Club Carib Humming Bird Singers and Dancers, bringing a littie sunshine and warmth from the Carribean. On Dec. 15, the Lioness Christmas December and January over 90 years young are as follows: Marjorie Marshal, Fannie Waller, Walter Priestley, Aiemrinda Pio, Sarah Durrant, Bertha Atkinson.
