They witnessed youth-created drama and musical interpretation entitled "Visions of Hope." Henry Nouwen spoke on many interesting and touching subjects. The talk addressed the movement from fear, to hope and love, ýWhich we can find in ourselves and then in a community. On Thursday, April 29, three DO'C students held séats on the an- nual Ajax moék council. Kathy Hudson, Kathy Bezer, and Steve Lam Hon Wahi took on the role of councillor, mayor or civic officiai for the day. In sports, the senior girls soccer team suffered a heartbreak on Tuèsday, April 28. The girls' winning streak was broken, as they lost to Pickering High School by a score of 1-0. Though the girls held more than 85 per cent of the play, they failed to capitalize on many scoring opprotunities. Our junior girls soccer team also lost by a score of 1-0. This loss was hard on the girls since a Pickering striker scored wîth only two minutes left in the game. Better luck next time girls! 180OIn tennis club About 180 have so far joined as memberM of the Whitby Tennis Club which will begin its season this Thursday at Iroquois park with an opening night get-together.
