'They are narrative memories set up chronologicatly,'" explains Hoogstraten as she prepares for the show which began Oct. 10 and ends Nov. 1. She says the drawings were done specifically for her show at The Station Gallery. "I was offered a show here a while ago but the work 1 have done would not fit here. 1 work quite large." So she put on to paper a thought that had been running through her mind for a while. .Drawings are placed around two separate rooms at the gallery. Downstairs, the drawings show the White Otter trip while in the back room the drawings represent the French River trip. "I see ail these drawings as one,- says the artist who did not use any pictures from the two trips to recreate her memories. As a patron enters the gallery, a tent is on display, which according to Hoogstraten. sets the viewer up for the drawings. Above the tent are two topographical numbered maps. Each number corresponds to a drawing to give the patron an idea of the location of the memory.
