Symphony concert Sunday On Sunday Nov. 29, 8 p.m., the Oshawa Symphony Association will present the third concert of the season at St. George's Anglican Church, 51 Centre St. S., Oshawa. Sponsored by Imperial Qil Limited, the concert will feature Wilfield Kauffman, clarinet, and the Oshawa Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Winston Webber. On the program wilI be Mozart's Sy mphony No. 38 Prague, Clarmnet Concerto in A Major, also by Mozart, and Bizet's Symphony No. 1 in C Major. Distress centre annual meeting The Distress Centre of Durham Region is holding its l7th annual meeting Wednesday, Nov. 25. David Armour, president of the Ontario Association of Distress Centres will be speaking on the future of the centre. Larry Hope will be discussing the power of listening and what the centre can do for people in distress. Hope first made contact with the organization when he was suicidai. A fundraising chairman and committee members will be elected as new officers to serve on the board of directors. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. and refreshments will be served.
