She was 61., She was born in Toronto on September 24, 1926, daughter Austin Robert Kerr and Sadie Parker. She married Alex Fillier on April 26, 1947. A Whitby resident for 32 years after residing in Toronto, P4rs. Fillier was a sales clerk at K-Mart in Whitby. She was a rnemnber of Ail Saints Anglican Church. She is survived by ber husband, son Rodney and daughter-in-law Vivian, daughter Catherine and son-in-law Bryon Whitney, and grandchildren Len, Scott and Robert Whitney and Katrina Fillier. Predeceased by her parents. The funeral service was held fromn the Town Funeral Chapel in Whitby on April 11, 1988, with Rev. Rod Barlow., Interment at Groveside Cenietery, Whitby. The special ceremony, to be held at the Holiday Inn, will honor Jean Lyseyko for her 20-year service with the Oshawa Symphony Association; Katherine Schilling, for ber five years with the Oshawa-Whitby Community language Program; and Anna Bejkowsky, Tamara Nelipa and Jo-Anne Sturgess, members of the Ukrainian Women's Associ- ation of Canada. They will receive trillium- shaped bronze, silver and gold- tone lapel pins and personalized certificates acknowledging years of volunteer service. Obituaries- THOMASDEANEl Thomas Younxg Deane, formerly of Whitby, dlied- at the Elliott Home, Guelph, on Monday, April 11, 1988. He was 86. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and Gideons International. Hre is survived by daughter Shirley (Mrs. GeraldTebbutt) of Daveriport, Iowa, and, grand.- children Wendy andi Greg. Also survived by'sister Nellie (Mrs. Leonard Beatson) of Sarnia. Mr. Deane was predeceased bY his wife, Mary ZeInia Halpenny, ~in 1980, and brother Robert..
