BY a vote of 6-0 at council Tuesday night (councillor Gerry Emm was absent but had voted against Sunday shopping at the regional level), Whitby councillors approved of the position taken by the Region. The Province is in the process of passing a BiH which would give regional municipalities the power to regulate Sunday shopping.
