The chamber announced the winners in the various categories, following the judging which occurred on Aug. 16. The winner in the commercial category is the Whitby BIA (Downtown Improvement Area Board), which also won in its categor in 1986 and 1987. The winner in the institutional category is Fairý'iew Lodge, which also won in 1986. There were no entries in the industrial category. There were .14 entrants in this year's marigold contest, according to Ted Mangnall, who chairs of the contest committee. Winners will receive a free 'dinner for two at the awards night at the Garden Gate Restaurant, Cullen Gardens, on Sept. 20. Special presentation plaques will be given to the winners at that time..
