Whl-itby led the series- two games to one before resuming play,* after postponements due to rain, on Saturday. On the mound for Peter- borough wvas Brad Clark, the league's hardest thrower, and he stopped the Whitby bats cold with a two-hitter, striking out 10 along games- the way, as Peterborough won 5-1 to tie the series. Then on Monday night, in the best-played game of the series, Peterborough claimed a 3-2 victory, to win the EOBA titie. Peterborough, losers of only four games during the regular season, had another ace, Bob Wylie, on the mound and he threw a seven-hitter. Redmen defeated Peterborough in a best-of-seven final in four games straight. Coquitlam advanced by defeating New Westminster four games to three, also in a best-of-seven-final. There will be no major changes in the Redmen' lineup, and barring injuries, the Redmen will go with the saine 25-man rooster that saw them go undefeated through the regular season, -a round-robin tournament and the Ontario final against Peter- borough Quakers. The only player added to the Redmen lineup was Jim Meredith, who played the regular season with Huntsville. But according to Redmen general manager Bob Duignan, if an injury does occur, either Dave McWhirter or Greg Lepine, two fine junior players, will be joining the team. Both played for Whitby Warriors during the past year and both are graduating to the senior level next year.
