The team, coached by Ed Chung, won 14 games and tied one, scoring .68 goals and allowing only eight. Eleven of the team's 14 wins were by shutout, with goaltender Peter Brown. Whitby won the Oshawa invitational and reached the finals of the international Robbie tournament. Play begins at 9 a.m. The final starts at 4:30 p.m. tournament Sept. 3 to 5. The Whitby team will be sponsored by the Texas Gunners Soccer Club and will train for four days with the U.S. club before the tournament.
