"I have been with the Players seies two years and there is nothing more there for me," says MacDonald, 26, who began his racing career racing go-karts at Family Kartways in Whitby. MacDonald says he had two goals when he efitered the series,, one was to get Canadian exposure and the. other was to get himself known. "It is time now to move on,f says MacDonald who piaced first in the first race of the series heid at Mosport on May 23. After 10 races, MacDonald, who in 1987 was nained rookie of the year, placed ninth out of 38 drivers. MacDonald has stili not decided where he wiil be racing next year. MacDonald, who finished al the races he enetered, is seiiing his two cars and buying new ones. For the future, MacDonald is looking at stock car racing in the southern United States. "To get into that ieague you have to be down there racing or get there through involvement with a Canadian-based company," said MacDonald. Other drivers on his racing tearrn include Tom Cinnanon Of Whitby, Wayne Harper Of Brampton and TOM Clark Of Whitby.
