Many of the residents com- plained they were without water during subdivision construction hast summer. The Region has secured $40)000 from Graywood to bring water to the resi dents. But resi- dents had been informed they would stili have to contribute $300 for connection. On Monday night, council un- animouhsy agreed to pay the $300 connection fee. The Town wilh also assume the cost of extending watermains ahong pri- vate property to a home and wilh pay up to $1,000 for any internai plumbing needed. The Town has set a maximum of $134,000 as its contribution. Residents will have to hook up to the regional-&ater *supply within six months of it being available to qualify for money frorn the Town. 1Councilwas informed by letter from Durharn works commis- sioner Bill Twelvetrees that waterrnains should be extended to the area by mid-March.
