I just remembered the hockey game! I hoped it was still on, I thought as I hurried home. When I got home, the garne was over. So I got into my pajamas and bounced into bed. Soon Christmas day had corne. I raced down the stairs looking for some coloured boxes or toys, but the tree was bare. AIl I saw was Santa sledding away. lie ran out of presents, I guess. He ran over to the bag and stomped home. Soon Santa was back in his sleigh. Off' he flew to make a late delivery to the last town on his route. Back at my house everybody was cursing Santa but by morn- ing everyone had chan ged their tunes for Santa had deIiver~ed to ail on his route. lie would neyer chuck his- bag out the window again.
