He was 83. Ho was born in Campbellford, Ont., on November 16, 1905, son of Charles and Mary (Heath) Lott. lie rarried Flora Thomp- son Lott on October 28, 1929. A resident of Oshawa for 42 years and Whitby for 41 years, Mr. Lott worked in the payroll department at General Motors. Ho was a member of St. An drew's Presbyterian Church in Whitby. lie excelled in many sports. In high school, ho played rugby, soccer and hockey and was a runner in track and field. He first played shinny hockey at the end of Louisa St. (now Adelaide) and -played professional witb Detroit O lympics, the farm club of the NHL';s Detroit Red Wings. Ho also played hockey witb Stratford, and in the old pro league with Buffalo, Niagara Falls, Kfitchener and Oshawa. ho also played for Chicoutimi, Que., and Tulsa,, Oklahoma. Ho coa- ched the Port Hope Juniors and Whitby Minors. Ho was an OHA referee for two years and played jun ior and intermediate lacrosse from 1923- 28. liJc vas one of the ficst promoters of box lacrosse in Osh- awa. Along with Art Bradley, he brought the first lacrosse sticks to Whitby from the Ontario Lacrosse Association. Mr. Lott played softball in the GM industial league and coa- ched the Whitby Stokers in the Southern Ontario Softball League for three years. Ho was an original member of the Whitby Curling Club and served on t he executive council of the Oshawa Retirees Club.
