Bom in Moncton, New Brunswick, she moved to Toronto in July of 1968. Here she worked as a marketing rep for Bell Canada. Upon moving ta Oshawa, she becanie a visual designer for Sears, a position she held for nine years. After moving ta Brooklin, in July, 1982, she and husband Earle went on a vacation ta New Brunswick where they attended çtn auction and bought a quantity. of flurnisbings froin an oid hotel. *The auction bug bit bath of them. I don't use anything but varnish ta finish the animais. The finished product takes about four hours. There is a constant demand for these animais so they take up a lot of my time." "Large corporations are buying the larger pieces for boardrooms and foyers. Antiques lend an ambiance of peace and hominess ta otherwise large, inipersonal rooms." Sharon says, I recently sold an ald Nestle tin and wali rooster ta the president of Nestie corporation." Sharon stocks fireplace mantles and bas a 1870 pine mantie witb square nails in stock at the moment. I pick up most of the manties in the Maritimes," sbe points out. "The Maritime provinces are older and these unusual pieces are availabie." At the moment, Sharon is hard at work flnisbiùng ber animais and a range of' coliectibies that include: duck dustpans, goose ladies, duck cheeseboards, cats, rocking borses, cats and a host of other plain wood creatures that take on life under ber skçilied hands.
