Whitby schooi trustee Ian Brown, master of ceremonies, recalled bis meetings with a group of parents i n 1984 who were interested in an addition. "There was no gymn, library or resource room then and a lot of letters were 'sent to the Province and presentations were made to the board's property committee,» recalied Brown. The contract for the work was awarded in February, 1988.
