Most stains are easily.removed if attended to within 48 hours of their occurence. Leaving spots longer, allows them to set within the fibre and they can in some cases becomne impossible to remove. Always use an absorbent WHITE towel - neyer a coloured one. The active ingredients in a good carpet spotter can actually take the dye out of a coloured rag and'implant it in the carpet fibre, thus making your ca rpet stain even worse. Spray your carpet spotter (Butcher's Pull Out) directly on the spot. Push the stain towards the centre, using your white towel. Neyer rub the spot from the inside out. This can make your stain even larger. Blot up the now dissolved emulsion with you,r towel. Spray clear rinse water on the carpet, using a trigger sprayer. Blot up, using your white towel. Repeat this process until ail residue is removed from the carpet. Bad odours f rom mildew or pet urine are other common problems.
