Yours pinoerely, Ten Hocldn TADR to hold tour Thursday The Tourist Association of Durham Region (TADR) will take political and media repre- sentatives on a day-Ion g bus tour of Durham Region on Thursday, Mayl11. Funding for associations Ontario's 12 travel associations will shmr $1.74-miflion in p rovincial government funds to help cover the cot of their administrative and, marketing prograras, says Minister of Tourism and Recreation Hugh P. O'Neil. One of the 12 is the Central Ontario Travel Association, of which Durhamn Region is a part. Administrative and marketing grants are awarded annually to, the associations, which comprise the Ontario Travel Association Prograr (OTA?). Marketing grants for each travel association are determined by a niinistry review board. Associations in the north qualifSr for up to, twice the amount of private/municipal funds raised for approved marketing activities. Southern travel associations quailify for a matching grant.
