Redmen won their 63rd with a tough 11-10 win over Peter- borough last Tuesday. They then travelled to Owen Sound Saturday iiht where they defeated t he North Stars 17-9. In Saturday's game, newconîer Brian Nikula, who joined Red- men this week from the Western Lacrosse Association, scored five goals. Eric Perroni, Adam Klwak, Jer FitZgerald and Jim Meredith had two goals each while Rob Hanna, John Fù J6 Blaine Harrison and Kevin Van- Sickle added singles. Tuesday night's game was a much closer contest as Redmen needed a goal late in the game from Fusco, his second of the game, to defeat Peterborough 11- in1 t, who joined Redmen IcIbL .ong with Nikula, also had two goals. Fair- man and Axnberly Small of West Lynde each set two records in the Durham Elementar Athletic Association track and fi'eld finals last week at Civic Field. Brumley, in the 13-year-old boys division, had a time of 11.6 seconds in the 100-metre sprint and a time of 24 seconds in the 200m race, both new standards. Small, in 10-year-old boys com- petition, had a time of 13.2 seconds in the 100m and a time of 28 seconds in the 200m. West Lynde's 12-year-old bos' relay team set a record in the 4-by-lOOm relay with a time of 52.6 seconds. E.A. Fairman's 13- year-old boys' teami had a record time of 48.1 seconds in the 4- by-100m relay. Blair Hedderson of Col. J.E. Farewell and Kim Miller of Prin- gle Creek also were double win- ners. Hedderson set a new record of five minutes, 8 seconds to win the 11-year-old boys' 1,500m. He also won the 800m. Miller won the 12-year-old girls' lOOm and 200m.
