Fine paper waste includes office waste, school paper, letter- head, notebook paper , computer 1'aper and some types of enve- idoes not include anything with carbon, glossy or shiny covers *anything with crayon, glue iinding or self-adhesive paper. Water soluble glue is recyclable but window envelopes are not. «To date, we are servicing about 400 clients in the Durhamn Region,» says Sue Crowley, ope- rations manager for- Durham Recyling. e4 have 75 to 100 clients on a waiting list. We service small three-person companies up to GM. «At the moment we are over- wheimed te start programs. The demand is greater than the sup- ply. «We teach e-very client what to put in for (fine paper) waste. We supply" literature and sample memos. Fine paper waste is put into a special square-based metal bin or container measuring 16 in. by 16 in., and 36 inches in height. Bins are lined with burlap. The cost for a container is $100 and they can be purchased directly- from the manufacturer or ordered through the Ministry of the Environment. If ordered through the minis- try, there is a much longer wait- ing period and there are very strict regulations. Companies must supply such information as floor plans and staff numbers.
