E. and Garden St. David MacAskill and Ronald Yan are recent graduates in kinesiology fromn the University of Waterloo and the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. Their business is called the Rossland Chiropractic Asso- diates. «We provide family care and treatment for athletic injuries," said MacAskill, who bas moved to Whitby. He believes that people who sustain an injury should visit a chiropractor before taking medi- cation for an ailment. "T1ry the least traumatic care first. W e can usually cure muscu- lar/skeletal-nervous systemi dis- orders but if we can't we will refer patients to a doctor," said MacAskill. MacAskill said the pair would also like to work with clubs and sport teams in the area. *Visits usually last between 10 and 15 minutes and are covered partially by OHIP. For now, eMacAskill and Yan will be th only chiropractors working out of the office. ]But MacAskill said there is room for expansion if the needs arises. able health services.
