As it turned out, Whitby was knocked out of contention, but not without some solid hockey. It was a tight fïrst game against Markh am at the aren a in Unionville. Whitby won 2-1 on goalsp by Mark Balbony and David Lylyk. Lylyk's go-ahead goal came wîth fine seconds remaining in the third period. Goaltendrr Jay Stewart was solid in net, limited Marlcham to a single goal. 1%e second game saw a 7-4 victory for Whitby over Milton. Goalscorers for Whitby were Paul Moore, Jason 13onneymnan, ,Adami McLeod, Joshua Ford (2), Brian Burke <2). Whitby then lost 5-3 to St. Thomas.
