On Saturday Whitby reached the chaznpionship final in the major novice tournament heid in Brighton, Ont., before being defeated by a much eider and bigger teain from Stirling. Tbey reached the finals by defeating Trenton 3-2 on Sean Haynes' overtime goal and Belleville 6-4 on Marc Lainera goal in the last three minutes.
