"Wilson has added another huge block to the tax wall that is being erected around the Metro region," says Frank Giannone. According to Wilson, the addi- tional federal tax on a new $290,000 Toronto-area home will be $4,800, almost trile the in- crease in the second-Crdest bit city, Vancouver, where the GST is expected to add $1,850 to the price of a new home.
