Province fights drugs wIth cash Qyijpjtg of Up to $50,000 are avafIable from the Cornnunities United Against Drugs Program operated by the Provincial Anti-Drug Sectetariat. The prograin is designed to help comrnunity-based groups set up innovative education and prevention prograîns that focus on reducing the illegal use of drugs. The program is one initiative frorn the Provincial Anti-Drug Strategy announced recently by the government. Guidelines and application forms have been distibuted to groups across the province. The deadline for the first series of applications is February 1, 1990. There will be a second series of applications distributed early next year with a deadline of May 31) 1990.
