A one-half mile stock car track located immediately west of Mos- port Park, north ofBowmanville, will open for business on May 5. Built by the owners of M rt Park, the paved, oval track has been leased by race promoter Paul Heffernan. Heffernan already has commit- ments from almost 90 drivers who will be competing in one of three classes for $15,000 weekly prize money and points for the overall season championship. The three classes are street stock late modelsportsman and OSCAR late models. The season champion in the OSCAR class will earn an extra $25,000 for finishing first, while champions in late model and street stock will earn $15,000 and $5,000 respectively.
