Whitby had earned a berth in the tournamient by earlier winning the OMHA champion- ship; Goulding Park represented the MTIH1, Valley East won the NOHA, aud host towu Walden jearticipated. Valley East scored the go-ahead goal at the 5.39. mark of the third period and added another inte the empty net.
